GGM Carlito A. Lanada, Sr.
Founder and Executive Director of the IKF KUNTAW. Retired now and guides the IKF as needed. Grandmaster Lanada is the 2002 Filipino Martial Arts Magazine Who's Who Man of the Year! In 2008,GGM Lanada travelled to
Canada, where he was inducted into the North American Martial Arts Hall of Fame. In June of 2010 GGM Lanada was inducted into the Masters Hall of Fame in Anaheim, California. There he was also awarded their highest honor - the Platinum Lifetime Achievement Award. |
GM William J. Spence
William Spence started training in Kuntaw in 1978. I was a founding member of the IKF in 1979 as the Secretary of the IKF. I learned all forms through Red belt long before I became a GM. I was a direct contributor to GM 1st book and saw it published. I am presently working on a followup book. Presently I am acting as Great GrandMaster's #1 Advisor & am in the
STAFF OF ANGKAN MAHARLIKA (ROYAL FAMILY). I was promoted in 2012 to GrandMaster by Great GrandMaster Lanada. |
GM Steven K. Dowd
Punong Guro at Tagapagmana Steven Dowd commenced his training in Arnis Balite (Aguillon Arnis) in 1974. He was appointed by the Aguillon family upon their fathers passing away on January 8, 1991 to represent the family art known as Aguillon Arnis. In 1998 in talking with the son and daughters of Pundador Aguillon it was proposed and accepted that the family art would use the name of Arnis Balite their fathers nickname while he was a Champion Boxer before the war with Japan, which was Kid Balite.
Kyud Dowd started in Kuntaw in 1977. He was promoted in 2015 to GrandMaster by Great GrandMaster Lanada. |
